Our reflections
In September, Leo, Evelien, and Roel from our sHAI-group attended the 25th ACM International Conference on Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVA 2025) in Berlin, Germany.
The conference had a clear focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications, bringing together researchers from computer science, psychology, and the arts.
Leo had the chance to present his current work on the roles of AI assistants at the Doctoral Consortium, while co-organizer Roel demonstrated the "virtual being". Both sessions led to interesting discussions and feedback.
A very thoughtful event was the conference dinner at the Computer Games Museum, which tied in well with the event’s themes and made for an enjoyable evening. Other standouts were the keynotes and the great atmosphere.
It was great to connect with such an interdisciplinary community and get informed and inspired for future projects and collaborations!
